WCBS attends WADA’s 2024 Global Education Conference in France

Today, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) welcomed a record number of participants to the opening of the 2024 Global Education Conference (GEC) at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

WCBS was represented by our Board Member James Leacy.

Cooperation Agreement Signed Between WCBS and POLADA

WCBS President Farouk El Barky and POLADA Director Dr. Michal Rynkowski signed a cooperation agreement in the fight against doping. POLADA will now handle disciplinary matters, prepare documents, and support anti-doping education for WCBS.

WCBS Anti-Doping Commission Attended The 2023 Sport Ireland AD Forum

WCBS Anti-Doping Commission member Jim Leacy attended The 2023 Sport Ireland AD Forum. The program covered, among other things:

  • International Compliance
  • Amendments to the Irish Anti-Doping Rules and Disciplinary Panel Procedures
  • Athlete Voice
  • Report Doping
  • Handling of Intelligence and Investigation.

Anti-Doping Training at the World Nine Ball Championship – Kielce

One day before the start of the 9-ball World Championship, anti-doping training was held for the players. About 80 people gathered in the Targi Kielce Congress Hall. WCBS Anti-Doping Director Marcin Krzemiński provided the main information on the rules for obtaining temporary permission to use therapeutic use of drugs (TUE – Therapeutic Use Exemption), the database of prohibited substances and methods and activities of WCBS and partners in the field of anti-doping education.

WCBS Conducts Anti-Doping Training Session in Spain

Another training for players on the basics of anti-doping rules in sports took place at the Abrikot club in Torrevieja.

A total of 20 people participated in the training session. They were athletes taking part in the international EEBC Pyramid Tour. The WCBS Anti-Doping Committee’s Director, Marcin Krzeminski, conducted the session.

 

WCBS Solidarity Anti-Doping Fund Website is Now LIVE!

Earlier this year, the World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) approved and established the WCBS Solidarity Anti-Doping Fund. This decision was taken at its Board meeting.

The prime task of this Fund is to raise funds that will be used for anti-doping activities within billiard sports.

WCBS Announces First-Ever Multi-Discipline Championship for Billiards Sports

A moment that all billiards fans have been waiting for! The World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) for the first time will organise the WCBS Championship for both Men and Women combining the three disciplines of Carom, Pool, and Snooker.

WCBS Establishes Athletes Council
